For seven years, I lived in a cycle of trying everything for my skin:
- Skincare routines (over $1,000 in products)
- Food elimination diets
- Functional testing and supplements
- Dermatologist prescriptions
- Acupuncture, kinesiology, and more
And still — my hormonal acne raged on.
It wasn’t until I made one simple but powerful change that my skin finally started to clear: I stopped asking, “What should I do?” and started asking, “What feels alive?”
What does that mean?
I realisd that my skin wasn’t just about hormones — it was about how I was living. My days were packed with should's:
- Saying yes to opportunities I didn’t really want
- Working long hours past midnight
- Ignoring my body’s need for rest, play, and boundaries
So I started making “alive” decisions:
- Saying no when my body screamed no — even if it made no logical sense
- Prioritising sunlight, grounding, and cold therapy
- Eating to nourish instead of to control
- Slowing down enough to actually feel my choices
And slowly, my skin shifted.
